General Rules

At KDS International Public School, we are committed to maintaining a learning environment grounded in discipline, respect, and responsibility. To ensure the well-being and academic growth of every student, all members of the school community are expected to follow these general rules and guidelines:

1. Attendance & Punctuality

  • Students must attend school regularly and be punctual every day.

  • Written permission from parents is required for planned absences.

  • Any absence of more than three consecutive days must be reported to the school with a valid reason.

  • Repeated absenteeism may affect the student’s academic standing and participation in school activities.

2. Uniform & Grooming

  • Students must wear the prescribed school uniform on all working days.

  • Uniforms should be clean, properly worn, and in good condition.

  • Proper grooming and personal hygiene are expected at all times.

  • Students with inappropriate attire or grooming may be sent home or asked to correct it.

3. Conduct & Behavior

  • Respect towards teachers, staff, fellow students, and visitors is mandatory.

  • Any form of abusive language, bullying, harassment, or violence is strictly prohibited.

  • Students must behave responsibly and courteously inside and outside the school premises.

  • Misbehavior, whether verbal or physical, will lead to disciplinary action.

4. Use of Electronic Devices

  • Mobile phones, smartwatches, or any electronic gadgets are not allowed in school without prior written permission.

  • Unauthorized devices will be confiscated and only returned to parents.

  • Students are encouraged to focus on studies and personal interaction during school hours.

5. Property & Cleanliness

  • Students must respect school property and maintain cleanliness in classrooms, corridors, and playgrounds.

  • Any damage to school property must be reported immediately and may result in a fine or disciplinary action.

  • Littering is strictly discouraged β€” students should use dustbins and maintain hygiene.

6. Academics & Homework

  • Students must complete all classwork, homework, and assignments on time.

  • Active participation in lessons, projects, and school programs is expected.

  • Cheating or plagiarism in any academic work is strictly prohibited.

7. Disciplinary Measures

  • The school follows a progressive disciplinary approach.

  • Rule violations may result in verbal warnings, written notices, parent meetings, temporary suspension, or other appropriate measures.

  • The school reserves the right to take firm actions in the interest of student development and the school community.

8. Communication with Parents

  • Parents are encouraged to remain involved in their child’s educational progress.

  • Regular Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) should be attended without fail.

  • Concerns or issues should be addressed respectfully through official communication channels β€” not during school hours without prior appointment.

9. Participation & Activities

  • Students are encouraged to participate in sports, co-curricular, and extra-curricular activities.

  • Discipline and proper conduct are expected during school events, excursions, and competitions.

10. Safety & Security

  • Safety protocols must be followed at all times.

  • Students must not bring sharp objects, unauthorized tools, or harmful substances to school.

  • Emergency drills and instructions from staff must be taken seriously.

By following these rules, students contribute to a safe, productive, and inspiring learning environment. Parents and guardians are requested to support the school in instilling these values at home as well.
